Many years ago I was taught the “Onion Ring Principle” when designing security measures, the principle has not changed although the options available over those years have expanded exponentially. The basic premise of this principle is to use multiple layers to deter, delay and detect an unauthorised person/object at each layer utilising all the options on the market rather than selecting a single-source solution.
Any solution should be appropriate to the risk and asset/s being protected and be based on an operational requirement including the response to any event.
It is better to target the investment to achieve the maximum benefit.
We would love to talk more about this diagram and how it could put your business at risk, and then offer solutions to mitigate those risks.
